Hi, I’m Dave — but online I go by Athel Anderson, after my great-grandfather. He was a working man and farmer. My grandfather followed the same path. My dad joined the Navy, and his example inspired me and my brother to become engineers.
That mix — dirt under the fingernails, sea salt in the blood, and an engineer’s curiosity — is what shaped me. I’ve spent decades in IT, helping people fix everything from broken PCs to tangled networks. What matters most now is simple: helping normal folks feel at home with technology.
Why This Site?
I’ve watched my 89-year-old mom adapt to smartphones and video calls. I’ve seen my wife’s frustration when a laptop update goes sideways. And I know a lot of people my age and older feel left behind or just plain lost in today’s digital world. This site is for them — and maybe for you, too.
